Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: MOT I Class Motor Certificate or Marine Engineer Officer Class I Certificate issued under the Merchant Shipping Act, 1958. One year post qualification experience as Chief Engineer/2nd Engineer on board a foreign going ship.
Age Limit: Up to 40 years as of January 1, 2026. Age relaxation of 5 years for ST candidates and up to 55 years for existing employees of any Major Port.
Salary / Pay Scale
The pay scale for the Marine Engineer position ranges from Rs. 70,000 to Rs. 2,00,000, with an approximate remuneration of Rs. 1,51,000 at the minimum of the scale, including various allowances and benefits.
